Kingsley Re-signs
December 1 2002

GEELONG Full Forward Kent Kingsley, who kicked 57 goals in 2002, has agreed to a new contract with Geelong for at least the next two years. The terms are being kept confidential, however it is understood there was some haggling over a clause that stipulated Kinglsey must play 17 games in the second season to be guaranteed a third. Kingsley's mangement wanted 16. In the end, the contract was stuck out for just two years.

Kinglsey finished 3rd in the Coleman medal last season after playing in all 22 of Geelong's games. This after just 22 goals in 2001, Kingsley is starting to repay the faith that senior coach Mark Thompson put in him after working with him at the Kangaroos in 1999.
