TICKER TAPE PARADE FOR PREMIER CATS

By Ben Jensen GEELONG FOOTBALL CLUB will be given a ticker tape parade through the streets of Geelong tomorrow, four days after winning the 2007 AFL Grand Final. The City of Greater Geelong is organising the parade in conjunction with the club, the parade to be concluded by lunchtime.


DETAILS

When: 11am to 12noon Wednesday 3 October 2007

Where: Malop Street, Geelong (see map for route details and designated parking spots for media)

What: The City of Greater Geelong will honour the 2007 AFL Premiers the Geelong Cats with a street parade and official presentation.

The parade will travel west along Malop Street, beginning at Swanston Street and finishing in Johnstone Park adjacent to City Hall.

A rostrum will be available for cameras in front of the stage in Johnstone Park.

At the conclusion of the parade Geelong Mayor Bruce Harwood will make a presentation to the team at the main stage in Johnstone Park.
