JOEL SELWOOD WINS 2014 CARJI GREEVES MEDAL

GEELONG BEST AND FAIREST, AFL JOEL SELWOOD has won back to back best and fairests, winning his third Carji Greeves medal by ten votes from second placed Tom Hawkins. Hawkins led for much of the night, after round 18 Hawkins led from Jimmy Bartel and Cam Guthrie, Selwood way down in seventh spot. But a superb end to the season saw Selwood take home the medal from Hawkins, Mitch Duncan just ahead of Corey Enright and Harry Taylor in third sport.

Jared Rivers finished his second season with the Cats in sixth spot, half a vote ahead of Bartel. For the second year running Mathew Stokes took home the Community Champion award, Selwood the Coach's Award, Cam Guthrie the best young player while Jordan Schroder won the VFL B&F. Guthrie also had a top ten finish in eighth spot. Schroder will be leaving the club, having been delisted a week ago.
