BARTEL, ROOKE RECALLED FOR CLASH WITH ROOS

By Ben Jensen GEELONG CATS V NORTH MELBOURNE KANGAROOS MINOR PREMIERS GEELONG have recalled Jimmy Bartel and Max Rooke for the first qualifying final against the fourth placed Kangaroos at the MCG this Sunday. For the Cats Matt Egan is out while at least one more player will be trimmed from the squad. Tom Hawkins and Steven King are also named on the seven man interchange, but both face limited prospects of playing, unless another player is dropped.

Last weekend the Kangaroos sealed the double chance with their win over the Western Bulldogs. Rivals Hawthorn lost control of their destiny after their twelve-goal thrashing by the Sydney Swans last night. The winner goes straight through to the 'first' Preliminary Final and has the week off, the loser to face the winner of the first Elimination Final between Hawthorn and Adelaide.
