CHAPMAN WINS BEST AND FAIREST

By Ben Jensen PAUL CHAPMAN took home the Carji Greeves medal in the early hours of this morning, after winning Geelong's best and fairest award at Crown Casino. Chapman, with 462 votes, won by the length of the straight from Jimmy Bartel (383) and Gary Ablett (371).

Last year's best and fairest Joel Corey finished equal seventh with 2003 winner Matthew Scarlett.

MEANWHILE Collingwood's Alan Didak, fresh from becoming the latest Melbourne resident to object to the poor quality taxi service, has won Collingwood's Copeland Trophy, being proclaimed their best and fairest player for the season.

Earlier today, Didak disputed a $25 dollar fare to travel approximately 3km from Hawthorn's Glenferrie Road to his home in Kew. Didak was thrown in the local cooler for a few minutes before being released.
