SHOCKING RUN CONTINUES
B Jensen April 7 2004

GEELONG succumbed to the Blues at Optus Oval by fifty four points in front of twenty five thousand last Sunday. We face the Sydney Swans this Saturday in front of their parochial SCG crowd. Youngster Brent 'Tweak' Moloney received a two match suspension after striking Carlton's David Clarke in the head.

This week Andrew Mackie is an outside chance to make his AFL debut. It's a pity he did not play last week; his alter ego, Mr Mmmmmackie off South Park may have been able to get his 'drugs are bad' message across to several of the Carlton players.

Matthew Scarlett had a rare downer last weekend at Optus Oval, and will be keen to make amends against All Australian teammate Barry Hall this Saturday. The Metrocats group are putting on a screening of the match, having booked out the Atrium Room at Bell's Hotel. 'Entry is free'. Bell's Hotel is located in Moray St (cnr Coventry St), South Melbourne.

CARLTON: 2.4, 6.6, 12.6, 16.8 (104) defeated
GEELONG: 3.2, 3.9, 5.11, 6.14 (50)
GOALS: Carlton: Fevola 5, Camporeale 4, Whitnall 2, Fisher, Hulme, Clarke, Lappin, Kenna.
Geelong: Spriggs 2, Kingsley, Tenace, Chapman, Kelly.
BEST: Carlton: Camporeale, Scotland, Fevola, Morrell, Thornton, Houlihan, Sporn.
