CONTRACTOR APPOINTED FOR SKILLED RECONSTRUCTION

KANE CONSTRUCTIONS have been appointed as the construction contractor for the first stage of the Skilled Stadium eastern terrace reconstruction. The package includes construction of the bottom tier of the new stand. Construction is programmed for completion by Round 6, with some of the bottom tier being useable in season 2004.

Kane Constructions are currently rebuilding the Glasshouse at Olympic Park, Collingwood Football Club's new home, and in the past have completed projects such as Marine and Freshwater Research Institute at Queenscliff, Victorian Institute of Sport, the new Australian Embassy in China, and many other local and international projects.

The Architects for the project are Peddle Thorp, while the Project Managers are Davis Langdon.
