AFL PREMIERSHIP SEASON 2008 ROUND 11; NORTH MELBOURNE V GEELONG; MATCH PREVIEW PLUS TV / RADIO BROADCAST DETAILS
Ben Jensen 6 June 2008

By Ben Jensen NORTH MELBOURNE V GEELONG GEELONG are hosted by newly-renamed North Melbourne at Telstra Dome this Friday night, a match finally covered live in Setanta Sports (but don't get used to it). Last time the two sides met, the Cats tore the Roos a proverbial new one, winning by a lazy one hundred and six points at the MCG in a qualifying final. Geelong's two inclusions, forwards Cameron Mooney and Paul Chapman, each kicked five goals that day, and will be looking to repeat the feat.

Ben Jensen 10 September 2007

By Ben Jensen GEELONG CATS V KANGAROOS GEELONG comprehensively thrashed the Kangaroos by one hundred and six points in front of 77,630 at the MCG on a brilliant September afternoon today. The Cats earn the week off and will face the winner of West Coast and Collingwood in the first Preliminary Final, probably on the Friday night, at the MCG. SHOCK DEFEAT BY CASEY SCORPIONS

THE BENDIGO BANK CATS lost top spot on the TruEnergy VFL ladder with a one point loss to Casey at Cranbourne's Casey Fields on Sunday. Geelong, originally the home side but giving away the home advantage due to fears for the Skilled Stadium surface, led by just under six goals at half time but that lead was cut to just thirteen points by three quarter time. Talls Tom Lonergan and Todd Grima kicked three goals apiece while for Casey Fergus Watts also booted three.
