AFL ROUND 11 2010; WEST COAST V GEELONG; MATCH PREVIEW INCLUDING TEAM LISTS, TV DETAILS
Ben Jensen 5 June 2010

By Ben Jensen WEST COAST EAGLES V GEELONG CATS TOM HAWKINS misses through injury this week, giving Dawson Simpson his chance. West Coast, third-bottom on the ladder, are on a two-match losing streak and will be hoping against the odds to pull off the second defeat of Geelong in the West this year. Taylor Hunt will make his AFL debut, after skipper Cameron Ling was confirmed as an absentee on Friday afternoon through a shoulder injury. According to Cats coach Mark Thompson Ling will miss just the one match. 'Bomber' might like to swap notes with Arsène Wenger of Arsenal, who like Thompson is fighting a seemingly hopeless battle to hold onto his marquee player Cesc Fabregas, similar to Gary Ablett's situation, but arguably a more hopeless cause.

PREVIEW REVIEW

CATS DO JOB OVER EAGLES BY 22 POINTS
Ben Jensen 8 June 2009

By Ben Jensen AFL 2009 ROUND 11 WEST COAST V GEELONG CATS GEELONG did enough to get the four points over West Coast at Subiaco Oval on Sunday, winning by 22 points to earn a week's break before returning to the same venue in a fortnight to play Fremantle. Paul Chapman and Tom Hawkins kicked four goals each but the big talking point was, again, Gary Ablett and his forty-plus possessions.
