By Ben Jensen twitter.com/thecattery GEELONG CATS V NORTH MELBOURNE KANGAROOS THE SCOTT BROTHERS face off as opposing coaches for the first time this Saturday at Geelong's Skilled Stadium. Along with Collingwood, Geelong remains the only undefeated side in the AFL, with five wins, while the Kangaroos are in 14th position with just the one win, over hapless Port Adelaide last weekend. At Tuesday's joint presser, also on the twins' 35th birthday, a tad under three dozen journo types packed the curiously named "Mike Sheehan" media centre to learn a little more about the twins compared in the past to the infamous Kray twins who presided over London's West End half a century ago.

Geelong has made two changes, welcoming back Cameron Mooney and Josh Hunt in exchange for injured skipper Cameron Ling (hamstring) and Taylor Hunt (knee). The Kangaroos, on their one-match winning streak, bring an unchanged lineup to Skilled Stadium.

The match is being billed as the first ever head to head contest between identical twins as coaches in the AFL (and who knows, maybe the world they say!) Of course, they did meet each other in the first round of this season's NAB Cup but that didn't really count (although we did win, so maybe it should). At today's press conference at Etihad Stadium, Roos coach Brad Scott joked his mother converted from the Lions to the Kangaroos last season, with the house now suitably fitted out in North Melbourne livery. Chris admitted that was news to him, but that's what you get for not visiting your mother I guess!

(Chris) Scott said his side had fared well after the bye, confirming he would rather have a week or two off during the season than not, and also reasoned their last game was just over a week ago so the break wasn't too long for them in any case. Brad Scott noted Geelong is a tough team to play, and under-played his side's chances of winning, admitting that at this stage of his side's development he is more keen to see what his players can do. One player in form for the Kangaroos is skipper Brent 'Boomer' Harvey, who admittedly only played Port Power last weekend but he played a cracking game, and according to Scott did not break any team rules with his goal of the round.

Cats skipper Cameron Ling should play despite a hamstring complaint, and Cameron Mooney likewise should return. Almost forgot to mention Geelong chases their 25th consecutive win at Skilled, which will be an AFL/VFL record for consecutive wins at the one stadium. A record we hope to ensure Collingwood won't break at the MCG as we face them in round 8!

GEELONG CATS V NORTH MELBOURNE KANGAROOS GEELONG shrugged off last week's disappointment against St Kilda to defeat North Melbourne by 35 points in front of more than twenty-five thousand at Skilled Stadium today. For the Roos the match was marred by a broken leg to young Kangaroo Todd Ziebell. The man known variously as the J-Pod and Podfather continued his love affair with the ground, booting five goals in the absence of Cameron Mooney and Tom Hawkins. Mitch Duncan and Shannon Byrnes booted two goals apiece while the the Kangaroos Lauchlan Hansen kicked four.
