CATS KNOCKED OUT OF NAB CUP BY KANGAROOS
Ben Jensen 21 February 2010

By Ben Jensen NORTH MELBOURNE surprised the Cats with a fourteen point win at Etihad Stadium this evening. The reigning NAB Cup and AFL Premiers were trailing by as much as 46 points in the third term before a run of seven unanswered goals slashed the deficit to just one behind. History will show however the Roos slammed home another goal to take an eight point lead into the final change, before outscoring the Cats by two goals to one in the final quarter to give rookie coach Brad Scott his first win in charge. The Kangaroos will place the winner of Fremantle and Melbourne while the Cats face Richmond in a practice game at Yea.
