CATS POUNCE ON TALL DRAFTEES IN AFL DRAFT
Ben Jensen 24 November 2007

By Ben Jensen GEELONG FOOTBALL CLUB DRAFTEES THE CATS have welcomed five new players in the fold, most of whom stand well above six feet. First picked was Harry Taylor, a twenty-one year old utility from East Fremantle. Next two were two unrelated Simpsons - 205cm tall Dawson from Barnawatha and 196cm Scott from Mt Eliza, each 18 years old. Rounding out the selections were Dan McKenna, 194cm tall forward, and father son choice Adam Donohue, 182cm tall and a very economical pick, requiring just the fourth round pick 60.

As widely tipped, Carlton selected ruckman Matthew Kreuzer with their number one pick, and Richmond Trent Cotchin with pick two. West Coast used their pick three, obtained from Carlton from Chris Judd, drafted Chris Masten.
