SKIPPER KING TO TAKE ON BLUES

By Ben Jensen. CAPTAIN STEVEN KING has been named in Geelong's side to take on Carlton at the Telstra Dome today in the AFL's 'nab Cup'. Skipper of the Geelong Football Club for the past three seasons, King has been inflicted with the 'Captain's curse' that dates back to the early 1980s. Should King not take his place in the side, Mark Blake is expected to share the ruck duties with Cameron Mooney.

Missing are new Vice Captain Tom Harley, ruckman Brad Ottens, forward Steve Johnson, veteran Peter Riccardi, comeback kid David Wojcinski, and forwards Henry Playfair and Andrew Mackie.
