CATS TESTED BY BOMBERS, WIN BY 31 POINTS
Ben Jensen 26 March 2010

By Ben Jensen GEELONG pumped ESSENDON in the final term to win by 31 points in front of a medium sized crowd at the MCG tonight. In the third quarter it was Essendon who held the trumps, running out to a four goal lead. But Geelong's superiority was finally asserted, the Cats going on a nine-goal spree to snuff out any hopes the Bomber faithful and anyone else who took the very generous $4+ odds may have had. The Bombers kicked two consolation goals in time on but it was all too late by then.
