CATS KINGSLEY, MCCARTHY, KOULOURIOTIS, SLADE SACKED
Ben Jensen 26 October 2006

By Ben Jensen KENT KINGSLEY is amoung six players delisted by the Geelong Football Club today. Other AFL listed players delisted were Matthew McCarthy and, Paul Koulouriotis, while rookie listed Will Slade, Nick Batchelor and Tim Sheringham were also cut.

Whilst the delisting of Kingsley was already known, it was not certain that McCarthy and Koulouriotis would be axed. The club, while yet to announce a contract extension, appears set to keep defender Tim Callan, who sought a new club during trade week.

Geelong acting GM of Football Stephen Hocking said "These players have all made valuable contributions to the Geelong Football Club and we sincerely thank them for their services".

Geelong will play eight home games at Skilled Stadium, two at Telstra Dome and a cash cow against Collingwood at the MCG.
