CATS SHUT DOWN IN SECOND HALF BY SAINTS; MATCH REVIEW PANEL WORKS OVERTIME TO CHARGE STEVEN BAKER FOUR TIMES, STEVE JOHNSON TWICE, MOONEY ONCE
Ben Jensen 28 June 2010

ST KILDA SAINTS V GEELONG CATS ST KILDA held Geelong goalless in the second half at the MCG on Friday night, kicking just ten goals but winning by four. The Cats led at half time by sixteen points but incredibly could not score at all in the third term and in the final quarter only managed three behinds, as the Saints booted six unanswered goals. It was feared Jimmy Bartel broke his left arm, but he now feels 'OK' and knowing Bartel, will likely play next week. However, Steve Johnson may have a broken hand and Harry Taylor suffered a lacerated foot, and both remain in doubt.
