Rhys Stanley out for season, Cats swing axe; AFL Round 22, 2018, Geelong Cats v Fremantle Dockers match preview

Ben Jensen, August 16 2018 RHYS STANLEY won’t play again this season due to a calf injury even if the Cats meet the finals, replaced by second game ruckman Ryan Abbott. Selectors have swung the axe on three players: James Parsons, Quinton Narkle and Lachie Fogarty. Replacements are Jackson Thurlow, who we never understood why he was dropped in the first place; veteran backman Harry Taylor, and Jordan Murdoch. The Dockers have made just the two compulsary changes recalled Nat Fyfe, Bailey Banfield in place of injured duo Luke Ryan and Sam Switkowski.
