Essendon Bombers v Geelong Cats; AFL 2023 round 7 match preview and team lists

Essendon Bombers v Geelong Cats, AFL 2023 round 7, match preview and team lists
Ben Jensen
JEREMY CAMERON will resume his charge towards the Coleman Medal against the Bombers tomorrow at Marvel Stadium. While Geelong have an eight day break since last Saturday’s trashing of Sydney, Essendon have only five days after Tuesday’s ANZAC Day loss to Collingwood. The Cats have now won three games in a row after losing the first three, while the Bombers have won four of their first six.

The Cats have made one change with Jed Bews returning after suffering a head knock against Hawthorn on Easter Monday. Cameron Guthrie is out injured reportedly from a toe injury, and Mitch Knevitt who came on as a sub for Guthrie returns to the emergency list. The Bombers taking into account the five day break have only made four changes, veteran Dyson Heppell among them. The top of the ladder VFLW side faces North Melbourne in an away fixture on Saturday and the VFL men play Coburg, also away, on Sunday.
