Cats suffer third loss of season to Bulldogs

AFL 2019 round 16 Western Bulldogs v Geelong Cats, Ben Jensen GEELONG were handed their third loss of the season by the Western Bulldogs last night at Marvel Stadium. It was a bad day for the Cats men with the VFL side also losing, to Box Hill. Better news for the women who won their VFL match over Hawthorn by 7 points. The Cats hold on to top spot.

The Cats led all match for the first three quarters and until the twelfth minute mark of the final term, when Marcus Bontempelli put the Bulldogs in front – this was followed by two more Bulldogs goals and the Cats were on the ropes, where they stayed. Tom Hawkins kicked his second with a couple minutes to go, but Sam ‘Llooooyyyyd’ Lloyd’s final goal of the match pushed the winning margin back to 16 points.
