Geelong Cats v Essendon Bombers; AFL 2020 round 16 match review Ben Jensen THE GEELONG CATS smashed the Essendon Bombers at the Gabba on Sunday, key forward Tom Hawkins all but sowing up the John Coleman Medal with another bag of four goals putting him eight goals clear of Eagle Josh Kennedy. Before the first bounce the Cats had two changes with Zach Tuohy and Rhys Stanley losing their battles for fitness with rib and knee injuries respectively. The replacement for Tuohy was Zach Guthrie while Josh Jenkins came in for Stanley to make his long-awaited debut for the Cats since crossing in the pre-season from the Crows. Geelong plays Richmond on Friday night at Metricon Stadium.
