Geelong Cats v Sydney Swans, AFL 2023 round 6, match preview and team lists
Ben Jensen
GEELONG will officially unfurl the 2022 premiership flag tonight before playing the side they thrashed in the grand final, the Sydney Swans. The Cats have had to make two changes losing Tyson Stengle to a broken arm, while Rhys Stanley, who has been really battered so far this season, will miss with a fractured eye socket. Coming back into the side are dual Swans-Cats premiership forward Gary Rohan who missed one match due to suspension, and ruckman Jonathan Ceglar for his fifth game at the club.

The Cats’ VFL women’s side play Footscray 12 noon Saturday morning at Deakin Uni Waurn Ponds while the VFL men have a bye. The VFLW side is undefeated after four matches with an enormous percentage of 232%. AFLW pair Georgie Rankin and Liv Fuller have been named to play their first games for the season. While the Bulldogs have only won one game so far this season the losses were relatively narrow and their win was a thumping one over North Melbourne.
