Geelong Cats v Hawthorn Hawks; AFL 2020 round 2 match preview and team lists

Geelong Cats v Hawthorn Hawks; AFL 2020 round 2 match preview and team lists, GMHBA Stadium, Friday 12 June 2020 7:50PM
Ben Jensen, 12 June 2020 NEARLY THREE MONTHS after round one the Cats’ and Hawks’ 2020 seasons resume tonight at Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium. The game will be played in front of an ’empty’ stadium due to Coronavirus / Covid-19 concerns but that’s unlikely to matter to the footy fans who will be watching from home.

The Cats have made three changes from the side that lost to GWS in round one, recalling ruckman Rhys Stanley in place of Darcy Fort, also recalling Brandan Parfitt and Jed Bews at the expense of Zac Guthrie and Jordan Clark. The Hawks have made just the one change, bringing in Blake Hardwick as a replacement for Jaegar O’Meara who has a broken ankle. Hardwick has his own injury concern suffering a ruptured pectoral muscle back in March that may yet see him miss.
