Geelong Cats v North Melbourne Kangaroos; AFL 2021 round 5 match preview and team lists

Geelong Cats v North Melbourne Kangaroos, AFL 2021 round 5 match preview and team lists, GMHBA Stadium, Sunday 17 April 2021 16:40 AEDT
Ben Jensen SAM De KONING has been named at centre half forward to make his much-anticipated AFL debut for the Cats tomorrow at GMHBA Stadium. The versatile key position/ruckman was drafted in 2019 has a football pedigree, his father Terry playing for the Bulldogs in the early 1980s while brother Tom plays for the Blues. Joining De Koning as inclusions are Brandan Parfitt who returns from injury, while Gary Rohan and a midfielder named Patrick Dangerfield return from suspension. Former Cat Josh Walker returns home and is an inclusion for the Roos along with Atu Bosenavulagi. The Cats have lost Mark O’Connor to an unspecified injury and omitted four others: regular omittee Zach Guthrie along with Jordan Clark, Max Holmes and Quinton Narkle, which has caused some controversy with the likes of Luke Dahlhaus hanging on to their positions in the side.
