Cats crash to third loss on the trot

Geelong Cats v GWS Giants, AFL 2023 round 11 Ben Jensen GEELONG lost by seven points to Greater Western Sydney on Saturday evening, their third loss in a row in Toby Greene’s two hundredth game. The Cats took a 17 point lead into half time but the Giants put on a five goal to zip third quarter. Had the Cats kicked straighter in the final quarter they may have got up but it wasn’t to be.

Tyson Stengle, Jeremy Cameron and Ollie Henry each kicked two goals for the Cats while Greene top scored with four, Jake Riccardi and Brent Daniels three. The loss leaves the Cats outside the eight in tenth position with five wins and a game behind ninth placed Fremantle, albeit with a healthy percentage.
